History of Hooker Harness

Hooker Harness, Inc. was founded by innovator Jack Hooker. Jack began producing seatbelts and shoulder harnesses in New York in the early 1970ís. During the early years Jack produced a variety of harnesses primarily for the aviation industry. Through the years, Hooker Harness has become the most well known and respected producer of Aerobatic seatbelts and shoulder harnesses. The aviation background in harness production provided the foundation for Hooker Harnesses emergence into the racing industry.

The company was founded and maintains a commitment to quality, consistency, and customer service. These strong commitments go hand in hand with an FAA approved quality control system, which is monitored and reviewed by the FAA on a routine basis. The FAA requires Hooker Harness to perform in house routine testing of both materials and finished products. Hooker Harness uses the same quality control system in all forms of production, for both FAA and SFI approved products.

From the beginning Hooker Harness has been producing custom made seatbelts and shoulder harnesses. We understand that not all harnesses can simply be made the same because all people and vehicles are built different and require a product specifically tailored to their individual needs. Therefore, all seatbelts and shoulder harnesses are not produced until they are ordered. Hooker Harness has always guaranteed that their product will fit properly, and will make any necessary alterations at no additional cost to the consumer.

Hooker Harness started as, and remains a custom seat belt and shoulder harness manufacturer. All measurements should be made as precise as possible. If you do not like the configuration of the seat belt and shoulder harness of your current manufacturer, please let us know. With your help we can design, test, manufacture, and seek approval for your custom designed system. Since safety is our utmost concern, Hooker Harness will not accept any design not deemed as safe.
