After an extremely active off-season, where Steve Francis Racing has made numerous changes to their operation, the team is as excited as ever to bring on the 2008 season.
Since clinching their first World Of Outlaw Championship back in early November, Francis shook the racing community with joining legendary car owner Dale Beitler to form what many would call a “Super Team”. The new merger kicks off their title defense January 23 in New Brunswick, GA and will race non-stop for the next 23 days in UMP, Lucas DirtCar and World Of Outlaw events during Florida Speedweeks.
“We are ready to get going. Our team is as prepared as we have ever been and our focus and confidence going into 2008 is as strong as ever. All our team sponsors have been really supportive over the off-season and looking forward to 2008 just as much as we are. The folk at Valvoline have been great and we are ready to go out and make some more noise for everyone!”
Outside of the #19 Valvoline, Rocket, Monte Carlo, Francis has partnered up with Tim McCreadie and Ryan Newman to run some limited events for Steve Francis Racing throughout 2008. McCreadie is set to run 5-events with Newman piloting the #15 for 10 or more.
“I am really excited about getting Timmy and Ryan in our car. Dale (Beitler) has been extremely gracious to me and has allowed me the opportunity to not only spends more time with my family but also to work on Steve Francis Racing through Tim and Ryan. We are really excited to turn those guys loose in our equipment. And again, all of our team sponsors have been extremely supportive in allowing us to do this as well. So we can’t thank them enough. We’ll have complete schedule for Tim and Ryan put together shortly for everyone.”
